Welcome to the Works in Progress section of the site. This is where we'll be showing the progress of the various projects we've set out to work on, from characters and other resources to full blown game projects.

NOTE: Information about said projects are estimates only. Release dates and percentage complete are tentative at best, as it's impossible to truly judge how far one is until completion. Basically, if all else fails, "It'll be done when it's done."

We will however try to give as accurate a figure as possible.

Comments:
This game was tentatively titled "Pocket Fighter Gaiden" due to it's subject matter, but the actual in game engine is based more faithfully on the Street Fighter Alpha series (SFA3 to be exact). Sure it's silly, but it still takes itself seriously as a fighter. With 22 planned characters, this is definitely a big project, but I'm making good progress and I'm quite happy with how it's turning out. From now on, the screenshots will be rotated out as newer ones become available, as this entry is getting rather crowded. ~MAG

8-Bit KevinSome of you might recognize this character as Ken from Street Fighter 2010 - The Final Fight. For those of you that do, congratulations are in order. This game was overlooked by just about everyone, but I thought the character concept was pretty cool. The character's actual name is Kevin Striker, and he was a cyborg officer in the Galaxy Police. I was actually spurred into the idea to create this character by El Phantasmo, and I'm glad he told me to do it. More shots and info as the character progresses! ~MAG

Rogue was one of the first characters I'd used the first time I ever played X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (the other one was Ken). I still like how she plays to this day, and have yet to see a Fightermaker release of her. So that's what I'm doing. She will use her moveset from X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and will, of course, be compatible with every character on this website. More info as it arises! ~MAG

Rockman, or Megaman here in the states, has always been my favorite videogame character of all time. So I had no choice but to make him as a Fightermaker character for the site. He will use his original moveset from Marvel Vs. Capcom, and have the full 8 color palette range. He'll also be available in a 4 button scheme for those who think 6 buttons is overkill (present company included). I have not begun work on this project officially, but I'll update this entry further as more progress occurs. ~MAG

Being the obsessed Rockman/Megaman fan that I am, upon hearing Zero was a playable character in SvC: Chaos I went nuts. Now that I have the ability to do so, I will be making him into a character for all to enjoy! He will use his original moveset (Exceed move included as a level 3 super attack), and have 8 color palettes (His original 2, plus 6 more I've created). I'll post screens and updates after I get them made. ~MAG

Good ol' Cap. I've decided to use the Marvel Super Heroes iteration of the 1940's war hero turned Avenger because it's identical to all his other incarnations, but it's animated SO much better. I'd started him a while back, but put him on hold when my big game project got rolling. I'll pick him up later, though. He'll use his Marvel Vs. Capcom moveset, and already has 8 palettes created. No screens to produce yet, but I'll update when I can! ~MAG

Hands down, my favorite Street Fighter character of all time. When I heard he was in the home versions of SFA3 I couldn't believe it. I intended to have this character released when the site went up, but a sizing problem with the sprites I found cropped up. I'll pick this back up when I can remedy it. ~MAG

Yes, he is indeed Jimmy Lee. I can prove it, I found his name plate for the games original intro! For the sake of argument, however, we'll stick to Jimmy. Rage of the Dragons is an often overlooked fighting game for the NeoGeo system, at least until the emulation scene came along. I'm a Double Dragon fan, so I played the game as soon as possible. I enjoyed how Jimmy played, kind of a mix between Terry Bogard and Kyo Kusanagi. So I've decided to make him into a character for you all. As always, info and screens as I make them. ~MAG
NOTE: I'd actually started him back a few months ago for a project I plan to work on, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well! ~MAG

K9999, created from scratch using Kyo's DNA. Definitely an interesting character. He was created by SNK Playmore as an homage to Shima Tetsuo from AKIRA, one of the greatest Japanese films of all time. He was even voiced by the original actor! Anyway, he's coming along quite nicely, I'll hopefully have him finished soon!
He uses our standard FM'06 template, so he'll be compatible with any other character released on the site. His moveset has been left intact and he has all 8 color palettes planned. ~MAG

Comments:
I've always enjoyed the stories of Miyamoto Musashi, the undefeated swordsman who later in life penned the book 'Gou Rin no Sho", the Book of Five Rings. This character, Akatsuki Musashi is loosely based on the Niten-ryu style swordsman, but it plays around with the idea of "What if Musashi were a demon?" He's a secret character in the original game, and is quite powerful, but he's definitely a favorite character of mine. More news as it develops! ~MAG

Now, it's not often you come across a character where I prefer the US name to the Japanese one, but this is one of those times. When it's a choice between Gunloc or Lucky Colt, I'm goin' with Gunloc. He's from Ring of Destruction - Slammasters II/Super Muscle Bomber The International Blowout. Gunloc has been a favorite character of mine since the original Saturday Night Slammasters because he's the vanilla character. No immediate strengths or weaknesses. He's fairly easy to use as well. No screenshots yet, but I'll update when I can! ~MAG
